Our Story

Every great celebration deserves a story, and ours begins over 5,000 miles away in California.

Stanley, our much-loved 1968 VW T2 Camper Van, started life as a hardworking commercial vehicle. Over the years he travelled an unknown journey, and by the late 1980s his history had all but disappeared. When work was carried out during his restoration, markings underneath suggested he had once spent time in a Californian scrapyard, narrowly escaping being crushed.

Thankfully, Stanley's story didn't end there.

In 2009, what remained of him was shipped to Ireland, where he slowly began a new chapter. Pieced together using parts from other classic VWs, Stanley was lovingly rebuilt and eventually converted into a mobile cocktail bar.

We discovered Stanley in 2020 and instantly saw the potential to create something truly special. We brought him home and completely rebuilt him once again, giving him a new lease of life and many more miles of adventures ahead.

Today, Stanley is much more than a vintage vehicle - he is the heart of the

Vee Dub Pub.

Following a wonderful collaboration with Cornish artist Cathy Davies, Stanley now proudly wears a stunning wrap inspired by the beauty of Watergate Bay, celebrating the county we are proud to call home.

Wherever Stanley goes, he becomes part of the celebration. He brings smiles, starts conversations and creates unforgettable memories. More than just a bar, he is a unique feature, a beautiful backdrop for photographs and a place where friends and family naturally gather.

We serve a carefully selected range of cocktails, mocktails, wines, beers, ciders, lagers, spirits, soft drinks, bubbles and, of course, a selection of wonderful Cornish tipples.

Stanley loves weddings, birthday parties, festivals, corporate events, private celebrations, promotional events, photoshoots and dry hire opportunities.
